Little Traveler English/Japanese/French Cover

Annami is alive minna! So I finally got around to finally covering another OneRoom s!ong

By the way headphones give the best quality.

This time I have sung Little Traveler , a really pretty song inspired by a French novel The Little Prince.
I love JimmythumbP’s music and I was so happy to be singing his music again. I have more covers to make of his songs so stay tuned.

So I kept going back and forth between singing this song in Japanese or English so I kind of combined the two. Yeah was that a good idea I don’t know but I think it turned out pretty good in the end. Ham wrote some really pretty lyrics so go check her out.

So the speaking bits in the song were actually those lines of text in the video and I did them all in French rather than in English or Japanese since its based off the French novel and everything. My French is so bad since this is the first time I had spoken French in 5 years. Plus that 9 years of French I took in school , didn’t make me learn very much hahaha.

I literally had to play the video , pause it , type each line into google translate and copy and paste into a document , it took so long LOL and there were so many of them , I think O probably did at least 30 lines for this song. , I jumbled them all together to kind of give it a montage feel.

The mixing took forever to get it too my liking but I’m satisfied with the end result.
I spend so long getting the harmonies balanced and oh god I went effect crazy on the speaking parts and I like 6 different blocks of dialogue to work with in this song , it took forever to do.

Oh by the way was synching up the video with my cover and the video is actually the pv for Clear’s version and we actually sounded nice together, it’d be cool if we could sing together one day but that’s next to impossible to happen. A girl can dream though right XD

So the Q & A video will be coming soon , umm I have another duet planned , a winter cover to make , still working on those chorus auditions and a fandub audition to still work on and a secret santa cover to be done. Youtaiteness (is that even a word LOL?) is keeping me busy ;P

I was thinking about working two jobs but I have scratched that idea , dying enough as it is already. I hope you will all continue to stay with me on this singing journey. Enjoy the cover and follow me on twitter too guys , I like talking to everyone its fun.

I have a few more blog posts to make in the next couple of days , look out for them and thanks for reading

Utsukushiki Zankou Na Sekai Duet Version

So I mixed my cover of Utsukushiki Zankou Na Sekai with Kal’s amazing version.

I literally just edited them together , if it sounds a bit off its because I’m not still not that good at mixing duets but I’m working on it.

Kal was nice enough to let me use his cover and I pronounced some of the words differently and held notes differently than he did and I was too lazy to record so yeah.

This was really fun to make and my goodness Kal’s high notes are so fabulous!

I don’t have much to say this time around actually. I miss watching Shingeki every week , hopefully we’ll get season 2 soon , it ended on a cliff hanger!!!!

I’m trying to learn five million new songs and mix five million others. I’ve got two drawings to finish and 3 songs to cover for chorus auditions and I have a special video I have to edit and A birthday cover for a friend of mine to mix. Plus working and reapplying to school. I am so busy suddenly , when will I find time for everything and not be so tired anymore?!

Anyways enjoy and thanks for listening , I’ll be posting again really soon 😉

Practically Perfect

So I got bugged again by my friends to sing some musical theatre stuff. But instead of Broadway I decided to do some West End music. The West End is the London equivalent to Broadway.

So chose to do a song from the musical version of Mary Poppins. I prefer the show over the movie. The musical kept all the songs from the movie and added new ones. The composers of the new songs were none other than the Sherman brothers who composed for the movie. So the songs sound great and fit in well with the original songs from the movie.

The musical plot is based off the original Australian Mary Poppins books by PL Travers so it flows better and isn’t so random.

I sung the trio from act 1. the song is when Jane and Michael Banks meet Mary for the first time and she tells them all about how wonderful she is.

Yeah so basically I sung a self trio with British accents. I’m crazy I know. I do a terrible English accent. But it was fun to try and attempt. Also My Jane and Michael sound kind of similar , I tried though. Plus I had to record each part separately , so I was trying to match each part I had sung previously and it was hard to try and be exact plus harmonize at the same time. I apologize for that awful harmony at the end.

This is one of my favourite cast recordings to clean too and this song in particular is my sweeping song. LOL I am really weird.

As for mixing , Broadway style songs are so hard because its all about getting the balance right and you can’t put too many cool effects in because it detracts the performance of the song.

Anyways that’s all I have to say for now , I hope you enjoy and see you all soon with more cool covers etc

Green Straight Duet

Its time for a Gumi cover! This is my 3rd duet with my Senpai. He is so nice and our voices go really well together. I thank him for suggesting this song. I wouldn’t have known it without him.

RaibuP makes some seriously nice songs. I really enjoyed learning and singing this relaxed kind of song.

I had this mixed and recorded a long time ago , I just never uploaded it cause I busy and or lazy.

But its up now!

Miixing this song was a joy , it was so simple and the subtle effects I did add , really enhanced the song. Please use headphones it improves all listening experiences of my covers.

I don’t have a lot to say so this post actually and I’m half dead , from work and my cold medication.

I have a lot of songs I want to finish covering , working on more duets and fandub/chorus stuff. All this while my work leaves me dead tired everyday. This week I’ll have worked 51 hours wooo!

I’ll keep working to get it done and thanks for the support guys , I really enjoy this hobby and I’m glad you are joining me for the ride.
